Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North
Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North comprises a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
Receptionist
This position is responsible for performing all aspects of the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Front Desk and ensuring that all hotel guests and visitors receive an optimum level of service and care at all times.
- Welcome guests as per our hotel standards.
- Assist guests with check-in and checkout, as well as other cashiering duties as needed.
- Review arrival lists and prepare compendiums before guests’ arrival and check into the system if necessary.
- Register and issue room keys according to departmental standards and procedures.
- Ensure that members consistently receive all benefits and repeat guests and other VIP’s receive special recognition and service. Prepare and send welcome cards and amenities to the room prior to guest arrival.
- Liaise closely with other relevant departments to ensure that guests' requests and needs are met.
- Update and maintain repeat guest history system.
- Promote Inter-Hotel sales and in-house facilities according to departmental standards to maximize revenue.
- Handle guests’ complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently.
- Handling guests’ mails, messages, and answering phone calls.
- Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all guests by ensuring that no details of the guests are disclosed.
- Be vigilant regarding in-house credit matters and act upon any discrepancies.
- Alert Security or Duty Manager of suspicious looking person(s) / articles.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage services, outlets, and hotel services/features.
- Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
- Attend all briefings, meetings, and trainings as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry (5* Hotel or resort).
- Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management.
- Good in English and communications Skills.
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
- Interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Customer-oriented with a positive attitude and smiling face.

- Ensures high quality customer service while following all safety protocols.
- Ensures a smooth flow of customers through the store.
- Answers, screens, and forwards incoming phone calls in accordance with National Vision protocol.
- Processes and understands managed care plans while obtaining document information from the insurance company as needed.
- Provides customers basic and accurate information.
- Schedules and confirms appointments, follow-up visits and classes.
- Files all patient records daily and pulls patient files for the next day's appointments.
- Checks order status and notifies customers when orders are in or of any delays.
- Keeps reception area tidy and presentable with all necessary materials.
- Receives, sorts, distributes daily mail/deliveries and maintains inventory of office supplies.
- Participates in regularly scheduled mandatory communication meetings.
- Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role preferred but not required.
- 0-2 years related experience or training preferred.
- Experience handling multiple phone lines preferred.
- Strong customer service skills required
- Strong organizational skills required
- Additional foreign language is an asset (Russian and German Speaking).
