Sales Development Manager DHL ExpressJob in Doha, Qatar
YOUR TASKS:
- Drive sales effectiveness and efficiency across the country through the measurement of common KPIs, benchmarking and sharing of BDPs.
- Lead budgeting and sales incentive program and ensure best in class solutions.
- Drive the regional Sales Development agenda across the country.
- Influence and support the country sales direction and action planning.
- Lead the deployment within the country of regionally developed sales automation systems.
- Influence and support regionally developed sales development processes, standards, organization & competency requirements.
- Maintain alignment and level of standards to the regional ’Selling in DHL’ process.
- Review and audit country-level sales processes, competencies and performance.
- Own and maintain a full and high level of customer data quality.
- Ensure a high awareness and sales approach to customer needs segmentation and industry-based segmentation.
- Organize, budget and implement sales training and coaching programs, using internal and external suppliers.
- Conduct training if required across all sales channels based on prior field experience’.
- Lead the sales implementation and measurement of the sales cycles in country throughout the year.
- Prepare adequate and timely materials to support front line sales teams in these sales cycles.
- Provide leadership in the area of customer relationship management. Ensure insight from Loyalty Management analysis is exploited at sales level.
- Understand the skill levels of sales management across the country and in agreement with relevant managers seek to raise their professionalism through targeted development.
- Propose and implement the most cost-effective allocation of customers to sales channels; related to this, continually review the sales organization in the country to drive down cost of sales.
- Support and influence the co-ordination and integration with other departments within DHL Express and particularly with the sales teams within DGF.
- Develop and motivate a best-in-class Sales Development team for the country. Support and influence the recruitment of sales personnel within country.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal style
- Excellent personal presentation, grooming and hygiene
- Clear command of the English language
- Excellent organisational skills, including ability to prioritise workload
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative/judgement to solve complex job related issues
- Proven track record in people management that demonstrates ability to lead, coach and motivate a team
- 5 years’ experience in a Commercial or Sales position
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of DHL services & products

About The Role
A Territory Manager is responsible for the revenue generated from a geographicallyassigned sales territory (or business portfolio), through servicing and retention of existing cargo customers and targeting new business opportunities.
YOUR TASKS
- Act as an ambassador for DHL at all times and attend to customer needs in a professional, friendly and courteous manner
- Ensure that a high level of professional rapport is developed and maintained with all customers
- Follow up on all customer enquiries and direct customer to the correct DHL department where further information is required
- Manage all customer-related information by communication to the selling team around specific customers as well as in sales systems so that other DHL staff can access customer and territory information
- Promote DHL brand image and values through own appearance and behavior so that it reflects DHL high standards and develops customers’ relationship
- Establish customer agreements and ensure and that pricing guidelines are always applied and profitability targets for customers are met.
- Ensure that customers’ prices are reviewed on regular basis and whenever any discrepancy arises between actual and promised volumes a re-negotiation takes place
- Develop and implement an approach to secure competitors and prospects business in the shortest time possible.
- Establish Prospects pipeline to support this approach and target them accordingly
- Exploit all new opportunities from existing and potential customers (prospects) ensuring a maximum penetration of DHL in assigned territory
- Develop and implement a personal sales plan and call cycle that incorporates initiatives for identifying and gaining new business and maximizes growth of existing customers to achieve the individual sales (volume and profitability) targets
- Monitor customer performance, loyalty and satisfaction to measure success, business fluctuation and possible business at risk.
- Take appropriate corrective action internally and/or with the customer
YOUR PROFILE
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a distinct advantage
- 3-5 years hard core sales experience
- Good interpersonal understanding & presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize workload
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative/judgment to solve job related issues
- Strong problem solving capability
- Excellent Selling Skills in a complex sale environment
- Good networking, negotiation skills and strong ability to impact and influence
- Experience in a segmented service industry, air express industry or freight forward industry highly preferred
Education Level
Degree/Diploma in business or related fields would be advantageous
