The Role
As Accounts Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the accounts team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will be responsible for managing accounts payable, receivable, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting activities. Your leadership will be key in ensuring that all financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will also assist the Finance Manager in managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Key Areas of Responsibilities

- Supervise and guide the accounts team to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Oversee the reconciliation of financial records, ensuring all balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor and control the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring that payments are made in a timely manner and all invoicing is accurate.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, collaborating with other departments to ensure financial targets are met.
- Review and approve journal entries and adjustments to ensure proper accounting practices.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
- Manage and monitor the cash flow of the business, ensuring adequate funds are available for daily operations.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Review and verify payroll entries and related documentation, ensuring accuracy in employee payments.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to financial transactions, and identify areas for process improvement.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting team members, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of work.
- Assist the Finance Manager with strategic planning, financial analysis, and other key initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in all financial matters.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and assist in managing the financial systems and software used by the company.
- Handle any other ad-hoc financial tasks or reporting requests as needed by the Finance Manager.
