Al-Ahli Club Co. is seeking a proactive, strategic, and relationship-focused professional to serve as the Head of Relationship Management. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing the club’s relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including sponsors, commercial partners, VIP clients, fan groups, and institutional entities. The role is central to driving long-term value, loyalty, and alignment across all external relationship touchpoints supporting both the club’s business objectives and its broader community influence.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Partner & Sponsor Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for existing sponsors and key commercial partners.
  • Lead relationship lifecycle management, ensuring partner satisfaction, renewal, and upsell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to design and implement activation strategies that maximize sponsor visibility and ROI.
  • Organize regular partner reviews, events, and exclusive experiences aligned with sponsorship agreements.

VIP & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Oversee engagement with VIP fans, season ticket holders, major donors, and club ambassadors.
  • Develop and manage high-touch programs, including hospitality, behind-the-scenes access, and branded events to deepen loyalty and engagement.
  • Represent the club in high-level stakeholder meetings, ensuring that Al-Ahli maintains strong goodwill and premium perception.

Fan & Community Relationship Strategy

  • Work closely with fan engagement teams to maintain open communication with organized supporter groups and community stakeholders.
  • Support the development of fan loyalty programs and feedback channels to improve matchday and digital fan experience.
  • Help transform fans into lifelong advocates through targeted relationship strategies.

Data-Driven Relationship Management

  • Leverage CRM tools and analytics to track relationship health, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
  • Segment stakeholders for more personalized engagement and service.
  • Ensure that all engagements are logged and monitored for follow-up and insights.

Internal Collaboration & Leadership

  • Lead a high-performing relationship management team with clear KPIs.
  • Collaborate across departments (e.g., marketing, operations, communications) to ensure unified and seamless stakeholder experience.
  • Report on relationship status, satisfaction scores, and key risks or opportunities to the leadership team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in relationship management, key account management, or stakeholder engagement—preferably in the sports, entertainment, or hospitality sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing high-value client relationships and delivering measurable growth or retention.
  • Understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape and fan behavior in Saudi Arabia.

Skills:

  • Existing network of sponsors, VIPs, or institutional clients in Saudi Arabia or the MENA region.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for relationship tracking and analysis.

As the Head of Relations & Coverage at Al-Ahli Club Co., you will serve as a key strategic leader responsible for managing and elevating the club’s relationships with stakeholders across the local, regional, and global football ecosystem. This role is central to strengthening Al-Ahli’s institutional presence, fostering high-impact partnerships, and ensuring consistent, high-quality coverage across media and public platforms. You will oversee engagement with governing bodies (such as the Saudi Pro League, SAFF, and AFC), sponsors, media partners, government entities, and international clubs, aligning all outreach efforts with the club’s brand, values, and long-term vision. With Al-Ahli entering a new era of growth and global ambition, this role requires a dynamic, well-connected professional who can position the club as a leading football institution on and off the pitch.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Stakeholder Relations

  • Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement roadmap for key partners including the Saudi Pro League (SPL), Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), Asian Football Confederation (AFC), FIFA, and other regional and global football institutions.
  • Foster strategic alliances with local authorities, sponsors, and international football clubs for mutual benefit and long-term collaboration.
  • Act as the club’s primary representative in high-level external meetings, forums, and public functions.

Media & Public Coverage

  • Lead the club’s media relations strategy, ensuring consistent and positive coverage across local, regional, and global media.
  • Oversee planning and execution of press conferences, media days, player and staff interviews, and crisis communication when required.
  • Manage relationships with sports broadcasters, journalists, and influencers to maximize media exposure and protect the club’s reputation.

Government & Institutional Engagement

  • Liaise with key government and semi-government bodies (e.g., Ministry of Sport, PIF, Vision 2030 initiatives) to ensure alignment with national priorities and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Secure support and visibility for club initiatives that contribute to Saudi Arabia’s sporting and social development agenda.

Sponsorship & Partnership Support

  • Support the commercial team in identifying, cultivating, and maintaining strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Act as a relationship steward for major sponsors and ensure their expectations and brand exposure requirements are fulfilled.

Internal Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing relations and communications team.
  • Collaborate with departments including marketing, football operations, community engagement, and legal to ensure a unified external message.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, International Relations, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior-level experience in stakeholder relations, public affairs, or external communications, preferably within sports, government, or major brand organizations.
  • Experience working with high-profile individuals, media entities, and government officials.
