Over the last year, Saudi Arabian Olympic & Paralympic Committee (SOPC) has embarked on a transformation with a vision to achieve a 3rd level ranking in the 2022 Asian Games and winning a multitude of medals in different sports disciplines for KSA. The overall aim of the organization is to comply with the objectives of International Olympic Committee (IOC) and adopt the best practices of the leading international sport organizations to ensure that SOPC and KSA become strong contenders on the global sports forefront.

SOPC aims to promote a change in the life style of the Saudi society, especially the youth by raising awareness and creating interest to participate in sports. The committee has 31 Sport Federations under their realm and the objective is to have a well-rounded team of astounding athletes who can represent their nation with pride & honour.

Director, Guest Services

Job Purpose

Responsible for the strategic planning and seamless delivery of guest services and hospitality operations for the LOC. This role oversees the end-to-end experience for VIPs, dignitaries, and key stakeholders, ensuring excellence in catering, accommodation, venue readiness, and personalized service delivery. The Director leads all sub-functions across hospitality and guest management, working cross-functionally to ensure LOC’s values of respect, cultural alignment, and world-class experience are realized at every touchpoint.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Hospitality Management 

  • Oversee the planning, procurement, and delivery of catering, furniture, and hospitality services across all venues, tailored to diverse guest needs.
  • Ensure VIP hospitality areas meet LOC branding, quality, and safety standards, coordinating FF&E installation and catering with relevant vendors.
  • Oversee uniforms, hostess services, and giveaways to ensure consistency in experience and alignment with the cultural identity.
  • Direct the operational procedures for VIP areas and Family lounges, promoting service consistency, safety, and guest comfort.
  • Oversee and direct service delivery challenges in hospitality zones, escalating key issues to the CEO and maintaining a high standard of response.
  • Oversee the planning of exclusive events, meet-and-greet activations, and personalized moments for high-level guests.

Guest Management

  • Lead all guest-facing services, including arrivals, check-in, invitations, and concierge services for dignitaries, VIPs, and accredited guests.
  • Direct the venue-based guest reception, seating plans, and personalized attention to ensure VIPs receive culturally appropriate treatment.
  • Oversee on-ground staff performance to ensure adherence to LOC standards in areas such as security, accessibility, and communication.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of strong guest data systems for managing RSVPs, preferences, protocol alignment, and experience feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Ceremonies and MarCom teams to integrate brand storytelling, thematic content, and VIP engagement moments.

Venue & Service Readiness Oversight

  • Ensure all guest service zones are operationally ready, from venue entrance flow to lounge setup and hospitality area installation.
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and engineering teams to manage timelines and space requirements for guest-facing infrastructure.
  • Lead readiness audits for guest and VIP zones, resolving gaps in layout, branding, safety, and staff deployment before activation.
  • Lead the integration of hospitality and protocol services across main competition and non-competition venues

Director, Federations Program

Job Purpose

The Director, Federations Program, is responsible for leading the strategic integration, development, and performance oversight of all National Federations (NFs) in alignment with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s (SOPC) overarching vision.
The role drives the long-term planning and institutional strengthening of NFs, ensuring they are equipped to deliver sustainable athlete development, operational excellence, and international competitiveness. This includes overseeing resource allocation, governance standards, strategic planning frameworks, and federations’ compliance. The Director plays a pivotal role in cultivating partnerships, managing high-level stakeholder relationships, and elevating national sports performance in line with SOPC's strategic objectives.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Strategic Alignment and Planning

  • Lead the alignment of National Federations’ (NFs) strategies with SOPC’s overarching objectives, ensuring coherence in direction, goals, and priorities.
  • Guide NFs in developing their strategic plans, ensuring they are in line with the broader organizational mission and vision of SOPC.
  • Facilitate collaboration across NFs and SOPC teams to create a unified approach to achieving strategic goals.
Performance Monitoring and Improvement

  • Regularly monitor and assess the performance of NFs, identifying areas of improvement and providing actionable insights to enhance effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics and benchmarks to track progress, ensuring NFs are meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to NFs to optimize operations and ensure alignment with SOPC’s strategic goals.
Advisory and Support for NFs

  • Offer expert advice and guidance to NFs on key areas such as strategic planning, governance, compliance, and capacity-building.
  • Support NFs in addressing operational challenges and provide solutions to foster development and enhance their organizational capabilities.
  • Assist NFs in enhancing their governance structures and ensure compliance with relevant laws and SOPC regulations.
Athlete Development and Program Implementation

  • Actively engage with NFs to ensure the successful implementation of athlete development programs, aligning them with strategic objectives.
  • Track the progress and effectiveness of athlete development initiatives across NFs, ensuring they meet SOPC’s standards and goals.
  • Work closely with NFs to address athlete needs and ensure their development programs are effectively executed.
Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building

  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with NFs, athletes, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for development initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for NFs, addressing their concerns, needs, and feedback promptly.
Continuous Improvement and Reporting

  • Monitor the impact of federations’ programs and provide regular reports to senior leadership on progress, performance, and outcomes.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes related to NF management, ensuring that best practices are applied to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within NFs, encouraging innovation and the adoption of best practices in governance, strategic planning, and operational management.
