Every company has a mission. What's ours? To empower every person and every organization to achieve more. We believe technology can and should be a force for good and that meaningful innovation contributes to a brighter world in the future and today. Our culture doesn’t just encourage curiosity; it embraces it. Each day we make progress together by showing up as our authentic selves. We show up with a learn-it-all mentality. We show up cheering on others, knowing their success doesn't diminish our own. We show up every day open to learning our own biases, changing our behavior, and inviting in differences. Because impact matters.
Microsoft operates in 190 countries and is made up of approximately 228,000 passionate employees worldwide.

Microsoft has public, time-bound commitments to become carbon negative, water positive, and zero waste in our operations by 2030. Microsoft is accelerating progress toward a more sustainable future by measuring and reducing our environmental footprint, accelerating research, helping our customers build sustainable solutions, and advocating for policies that benefit the environment.

We have an enormous opportunity and responsibility to ensure that the technology we create benefits everyone on the planet, as well as the planet itself. As we drive economic growth, we must also commit to creating a more inclusive, equitable, sustainable, and trusted future for everyone. To help people and organizations everywhere achieve more, we focus on four commitments: support inclusive economic growth, protect fundamental rights, create a sustainable future, and earn trust.

At Microsoft, we strive to create an environment where people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives thrive. Our journey and our learnings are ongoing, but we are clear about our goals: We want every employee to feel like we can be our authentic selves, in alignment with our company values, so we can do our best work. We’re focused on increasing representation, from interns all the way through to the boardroom. Our accountability starts at the highest levels of our organization and extends to every role. We aim to influence systemic and sustainable change, which requires us to do the micro and macro motions every single day that impact employees’ experiences and transform the systems that drive access, opportunity, and greater equality. We have a long history at Microsoft of applying our growth mindset to address some of the world’s most complex challenges. We put the same relentless focus and willingness to learn to work in confronting the realities of inequity in our industry and beyond—not because we have all the answers, but because we are uniquely positioned to make a difference when we innovate for inclusion.
At Microsoft, we believe a career is more than a job. It’s about who you are and who you want to become. It’s an ongoing experience—and with a growth mindset guiding the way, you can shape that experience into just about anything you can imagine.
