Key programs include Agile Learning, ILP/ILP²/ILP Focus, the Leadership Expedition, Speed Up for high potentials, and Future Talent programs like apprenticeships, dual studies, and internships. Our internal training department ensures flexible, needs-based learning and is exploring new evaluation methods. Coaching for senior staff, CAT Talks for knowledge sharing, and specialized retail development programs through PUMA University empower employees at all levels to grow, lead, and succeed in a dynamic environment.
We offer a wide range of services and benefits to support employee health and wellbeing. Our wellbeing strategy focuses on four key areas: Flex, Social, Finance and Athlete. In 2024, we continued providing sports classes, indoor and outdoor training facilities, gym sessions, and sports events. Our “Be Well Weeks” offered health checks, nutritional counselling, ergonomic support, and mental health resources. To support work-life balance, we offer flexible working models, including mobile office, part-time roles, and sabbaticals. All global offices operate under a hybrid model, giving employees flexibility in work hours and location. Since 2015, our Headquarters has held the German “audit berufundfamilie” certificate, recognizing our family-friendly environment. This includes parent-child offices, nursing rooms, childcare facilities, and summer camps during school holidays - ensuring a supportive workplace for working parents and promoting overall employee wellbeing.
Creating a fair and inclusive workplace is central to how we operate. With 145 nationalities across our global team, we value the diversity that strengthens our culture and performance. Among our leaders worldwide, 42% are female, 58% male, and <1% identify as diverse. We prohibit all forms of discrimination and are committed to equal opportunities in career development and compensation. From 2020 to 2024, the Financial Times ranked PUMA as a “Leader in Diversity” among top European companies - five years in a row. In 2024, we updated our DEI policy, launched new learning tracks, introduced employee resource groups like Juntos, and marked Pride Month with dedicated events. We support employees with disabilities by adapting workspaces and providing representation through elected councils. FPI Fair Pay Innovation Lab, a German NGO, supports us in analysing and improving our pay strategies. We assess roles using a gender-neutral, job-focused approach to ensure fair, transparent, and standardised compensation for all employees. PUMA is certified as a Fair Pay Developer and Leader in several countries, ensuring compensation is based on skills and performance - not gender or background.
We know that sport is one of the strongest links between people – we feel it every day. And so, we readily share our Speed & Spirit by engaging with local communities all around the globe. Since launching our community engagement program in 2016, PUMA employees have contributed over 240,000 hours globally. These efforts span four key categories: Sports & Health, Protection of Environment, Equality & Non-discrimination, and Education. Activities include beach clean-ups, tree planting, charity runs, and initiatives supporting underprivileged communities—especially children—through food donations and school supplies.

As a sports brand, we know how to push ourselves to be better. We approach sustainability in much the same way. At PUMA, we integrate sustainability into every aspect of our manufacturing processes – from sourcing raw materials to production, both environmentally and socially. Much like an athlete's training programme, we have set ambitious goals and are committed to compliance and minimising our impact on the planet.
