Customer Delivery Lead
Job Description
As a Customer Project Manager at Nokia, you will spearhead the successful execution of complex customer programs, ensuring alignment with our operational standards and commitment to excellence. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinating project deliverables while managing customer relationships and expectations. This role is central to our Customer Delivery Management team, where you will collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders to drive project success within budget, timeline, and quality constraints. You’ll thrive in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment that encourages proactive communication and continuous improvement. Here, you will leverage your expertise to identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, enhancing customer satisfaction and contributing significantly to Nokia's business objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping our project outcomes and fostering a culture of excellence.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Lead and manage customer project(s) for large, complex contracts, ensuring alignment with Nokia's operational standards and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain project plans, proactively addressing changes in cost, scope, schedule, and quality (CSSQ).
- Act as the primary customer liaison, overseeing communication, managing expectations, and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform rigorous financial management, including monitoring budgets, profitability forecasts, and ensuring project delivery within financial constraints.
- Conduct comprehensive risk management, identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks while seeking new opportunities for contract expansion.
- Ensure high-quality project outcomes by implementing best practices and continuous improvement strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional team responsibilities, effectively assigning tasks and mentoring team members to achieve project goals.
- Facilitate project closure, ensuring all contractual requirements are met and lessons learned are documented for future reference.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
7-10 years of project management experience, preferably in telecommunications or IT
Strong knowledge of project planning and risk management methodologies
Proficient in managing customer relationships and stakeholder communications
Experience with financial forecasting and budget management
It would be nice if you also had:
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business or a related field
- Familiarity with Agile and other project management frameworks
- Experience in upselling and cross-selling in existing customer accounts
- Multilingual skills to facilitate global communication

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Drive implementation of Nokia’s project management methodology and tools to ensure timely, within-budget, and quality delivery of customer projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to oversee operational processes, cost control, and management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Nokia governance practices and operational KPIs, tailored to business group specifics.
- Manage the development and provision of essential training and support for project management tools and processes.
- Implement proactive cost management practices through operational reviews, action planning, and follow-ups.
- Act as key liaison for legal, governmental, and administrative tasks, maintaining relationships with relevant authorities in Oman.
- Oversee resource demand activities and forecast management within the customer team to ensure alignment with project needs.
- Support the Project Management Community in capability enhancement initiatives, including certification planning and implementation.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- B.Sc in Technology, Telecom, Engineering or Bachelor’s in Business Administration
- 3 – 5 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Strong command of both English & Arabic (written and spoken)
- Project Management skills: Risk Management, Change Management, Project Communication Management
It would be nice if you also had:
- Awareness of Oman Labor Laws and Telecom Regulations
- Skills in Office 365, SharePoint, and Windows
- Project Finances and Cost Control expertise
- Experience in maintaining relationships with government entities
