Communications Manager (QSTP)
Job Purpose: To lead and execute an integrated communication strategy that positions QSTP as a global hub for innovation, deep tech, and impact-driven ventures. To shape QSTP’s narrative by leveraging advanced understanding of artificial intelligence to highlight the transformative work of our incubator, accelerators, and partner companies across the innovation ecosystem.
Key Result Areas:
- Develop and execute an annual communications strategy aligned with QSTP’s goals of attracting top-tier companies, investors, strategic partners, and talent, while positioning the park as a global hub for impactful technologies.
- Craft compelling, multi-format content (press releases, feature stories, thought leadership, social media, newsletters, case studies, and impact reports) to showcase breakthrough technologies and achievements across QSTP’s ecosystem.
- Translate complex scientific and technological concepts (AI, biotech, cleantech, advanced materials, etc.) into accessible narratives that resonate with government stakeholders, corporate partners, investors, media, and the innovation community.
- Manage the park’s institutional brand and sub-brands (incubators, accelerators, and ecosystem programs) to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across all channels.
- Lead media relations regionally and internationally by building journalist relationships, pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and monitoring media coverage to maximize positive visibility.
- Plan and manage communications for major ecosystem events including Demo Days, innovation showcases, company launches, funding announcements, and partnership signings to amplify impact and attendance.
- Leverage AI-powered tools for content creation, translation, personalization, performance analytics, and
- audience segmentation, while maintaining human editorial oversight and authentic narrative quality.
- Manage bilingual (Arabic and English) communications to ensure cultural relevance for local stakeholders while maintaining global appeal for international audiences.
- Collaborate with founders and resident companies to shape their strategic narratives, strengthen fundraising and partnership efforts and amplify their achievements across QSTP’s platforms to enhance their visibility with investors and partners.
- Coordinate closely with government relations, business development, and program teams to align messaging with policy advocacy, partnership development, talent attraction, and community-building priorities.
- Develop and manage content calendars and editorial workflows to ensure consistent, timely, and strategic communication across platforms.
- Monitor and analyze communication performance metrics (engagement, sentiment, digital analytics, media coverage) to provide leadership with insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage the communications budget and external vendors (creative agencies, designers, photographers, translators, freelancers) to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient resource allocation.
- Stay informed on global trends in AI, emerging technologies, and innovation ecosystems to ensure QSTP’s messaging remains forward-looking, credible, and aligned with thought-leadership objectives.
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor.

- Contribute to the successful planning, execution, and completion of cross-functional projects when and as assigned by QSTP senior management.
- Actively engage with team members from various departments to achieve project goals, ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication.
- Efficiently manage and utilize resources across projects, balancing workload and maximizing productivity.
- Apply creative thinking and innovative methods to identify and address challenges, contributing to the continuous improvement of project processes.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards while working one assigned project.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with both the line manager and project manager, ensuring timely updates on project progress and outcomes.
- Continuously enhance skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to cross-functional projects.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, engineering, computer science, or a related field, 8-10 years of relevant full-time communications experience in technology, research, innovation, or startup ecosystems, 3 of which at a supervisory level.
- ability to translate complex scientific and technical concepts (AI/ML, biotech, cleantech, robotics) into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Strong knowledge of AI applications in communications, including content generation, personalization, translation, audience segmentation, analytics, and responsible AI usage.
- Proven experience developing and executing strategic communication plans that support brand building, investor attraction, partnership development, and ecosystem visibility.
- Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with scientists, engineers, founders, and deep-tech companies, understanding their long development cycles, regulatory considerations, and communication challenges.
- Solid experience managing digital platforms (website, social media, email marketing, analytics dashboards) and creating multi-format content aligned with organizational priorities.
- Strong capability in media relations with regional and international journalists, including pitching stories, coordinating interviews and managing high-visibility announcements.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive communications, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is required
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
Qatar Foundation Head of School
Job Purpose:
To have full responsibility for management of one of the QF Schools.
Key Result Areas:
- Serve as the face of the school both within and outside of the school community; represent the school at local and international outside events as requested by the VP to create awareness of the school and its activities, and to build the school’s reputation as a center of excellence.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of school-specific policies & procedures supplemental to QF and PUE policies & procedures.
- Ensure the creation of a safe and healthy learning environment and the personal safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Plan an annual budget, present it to the Management for approval, and oversee expenditures.
- Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising activities in order to meet the annual target.
- Oversee the preparation of required monthly reports and present them to the Management for use in planning and decision-making.
- Provide input into curriculum and recommend & approve the acquisition of teaching and other educational resources.
- Oversee the accreditation/authorization process and facilitate access to all information requested by the accreditation committee; may be requested to serve on accreditation committees for the accreditation of other schools.
- Be a welcoming presence at major school activities and events, and at as many others as reasonably possible.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, and on-boarding of administrators, faculty and staff; oversee staff evaluations.
- Lead regular meetings with administrators and department heads to discuss management issues; respond to and resolve serious and escalated issues as they arise.
- Oversee the collection of routine data on students, staff and programs and ensure maintenance of its confidentiality.
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the VP of QF Schools.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field; PhD in Educational Leadership or Administration preferred.
- 10 years of experience in international education, five years of which as a school director.
- Experience with school accreditation and with International Baccalaureate (IB) authorization.
- Outstanding interpersonal, personnel management, and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding organization, planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports & communications and articulate ideas clearly and concisely, proficiency in Arabic a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office application.
