The Operations Associate is responsible for overseeing and coordinating waste management activities within the assigned NEOM community. The role involves ensuring effective waste collection, disposal, recycling, and adherence to environmental regulations.
The Operations associate will manage service partner teams, ensure that waste management processes are optimized, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and environmental sustainability within the community. The Operations Associate will report directly to the regional manager, who is responsible for overseeing waste management across all NEOM communities.
- Supervise the implementation of the NEOM Community Waste Management Plan within the allocated community, ensuring it is always current and followed.
- Oversee day-to-day waste management operations, including collection, disposal, recycling, and other related activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the Operations Specialist to align community-specific waste management activities with broader NEOM objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the community's waste management activities and recommend actions to the Operations Specialist.
- Ensure that all waste management practices comply with NEOM policies, environmental regulations, and the Circular Economy Concept.
- Work with service providers to ensure contract compliance, monitor performance, and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain and update reports and dashboards, providing clear and accurate data on the community’s waste management performance.
- Lead and guide the service partner teams within the community, promoting teamwork and ensuring high standards are maintained.
- Assign tasks to team members, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Provide ongoing training and support to team members to enhance their understanding of sustainability practices and operational excellence.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive, cooperative work environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for waste management within the allocated community, coordinating with internal teams and external service providers.
- Collaborate with the Operations Specialist and other community associates to share best practices and drive continuous improvement in waste management operations.
- Engage with community members to raise awareness of waste management practices and encourage sustainable behaviors.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in office services or facility management or any relevant field
- Experience in supervising waste management operations, preferably within a community or municipal setting.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory adherence in waste management.
- Experience in working with external service providers and managing contracts.
- Understanding waste management principles, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations governing waste management.
- Understanding data analysis methods to assess performance and identify improvements.

Utilities Engineer -SMP Jobs in Saudi Arabia
Clarification on SMP Contract: It is Supplementary Manpower service contract job in which prospective applicants are interviewed and salary determined by NEOM interview panel; and being employed under the payroll of SMP Contract (SMP Vendor). Successfully mobilized candidates would be under the visa sponsorship of SMP Vendor Company/Contract.
The role of the Utilities Engineer is to support Utilities Management Department in assuring quality services delivered by the Utilities O&M Service Partners, and in line with agreed SLA’s and KPI’s
- Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of utility systems to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a full understanding of the NEOM utility assets MEP systems and plant.
- Respond promptly to emergency outages and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime
- Analyze utility consumption data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings
- Develop strategies to optimize utility usage, minimize waste, and promote sustainability initiatives

- Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related MEP O&M
- Ideal experience in central utilities – Electrical and/or mechanical Systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
